AVIRA receives a new VB 100% for full malware detection

AVIRA is proud to receive yet another VB 100% cert after its AVIRA Desktop for Windows product detected all the infected samples included in the test sets performed by Virus Bulletin.

Last year the AVIRA products were awarded every time they were subject to Virus Bulletin comparative tests, and the latest review for Windows NT Workstation has proved, once more, the flawless detection and the reliability of the AVIRA-AntiVir technology.

Test results were exactly the same as the last time the product was tested: full detection in all sets. With no false positives in the clean test sets, this performance gains AVIRA another VB100%, reads the February issue of the Virus Bulletin Magazine.

The UK-based security publication boasts worldwide recognition for its VB 100% awards, granted for good behavior during specific test procedures. Every antivirus product submitted for review has to detect six different sets of malware, including in-the-wild variants, zoo viruses, but also macro and polymorphic samples.
